The Brazilian Pediatric Intensive Care Research Network -
The Brazilian Research Network in Pediatric Intensive Care (BRnet-PIC) was created on December 1, 2018 with the objective of being a collaborative network between pediatric intensive care units, aiming perform multicenter studies that allow to obtain a representative sample of several Brazilian health contexts, resulting in high impact scientific publications that may contribute to the improvement of care.

Dr. Arnaldo Prata
Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1979), holds a Master's degree in Pediatrics (1987) and a Doctorate in Clinical Medicine (Child and Adolescent Health, 2005) from the Faculty of Medicine of UFRJ. Specialized in Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care. Retired Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of UFRJ. Currently serves as the Research Coordinator in Pediatrics at the D'Or Institute for Research and Education (IDOR) and the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Coordinator at IDOR.
Dr. José Colleti Junior
Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo (USP) in 1992. Completed Medical Residency in Pediatrics at the Clinical Hospital of FMRP (USP 1995). Holds a Specialist title in Pediatric Intensive Care certified by the Brazilian Medical Association (AMB) and the Brazilian Association of Intensive Medicine (AMIB) in 1996. Currently serves as the Coordinator of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (UTIP) at Hospital da Luz Vila Mariana and works as a medical assistant at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein.
Dr. Cristian Tonial
Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre - UFCSPA (2007). Completed a Medical Residency in Pediatrics at the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre - UFRGS (2011). Completed a Medical Residency in Pediatric Intensive Care at PUCRS (2013). Holds a Master's and a PhD in Pediatrics and Child Health from PUCRS. Currently works as a shift doctor in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (UTIP) at the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre. Serves as a scientific reviewer for the Brazilian Journal of Intensive Care (RBTI), the Jornal de Pediatria (JPED), and the Journal of Nutrition.

Dr. Daniel Raylander
Member of AMIB-INOVA; Specialist in pediatrics by the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics with a focus on pediatric emergencies by the same society; Certified in pediatric intensive care by the Brazilian Intensive Care Medicine Association - AMIB; Master in Health Sciences from the Federal University of Goiás (2019-2022); Fellowship in pediatric cardio-intensive care at the Cardiology Institute of the Federal District (2023-2024).
Dra. Fernanda Lima Setta
Specialist in Pediatric Intensive Care (Field of Expertise), having completed medical residency at the Fernandes Figueira Institute - IFF/FIOCRUZ in 2006. Holds the title of Specialist in Pediatric Intensive Care (TETIP) from AMIB, received in 2007. PhD in Epidemiology, in the field of Public Health, from the Institute of Social Medicine at the State University of Rio de Janeiro in 2022. Served as Vice President of the Intensive Care Society of Rio de Janeiro (SOTIERJ) in the 2016/2017 term and as Representative Associate of Rio de Janeiro to the Brazilian Intensive Care Medicine Association (AMIB) in the 2018/2019 term. Was responsible for the Pediatric Intensive Care Division at Rede D'Or São Luiz in Rio de Janeiro from 2014 to 2022. Currently, she is the medical coordinator of the Critical Care Unit at the Fernandes Figueira Institute - Fiocruz.
Dra. Regina Grigolli Cesar
Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (1992), Master's in Medicine (Pediatrics) from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (2000), and Ph.D. in Medicine (Pediatrics) from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (2010). Both the Master's and Ph.D. were obtained at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo. Currently, she is a professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo. She also serves as the Coordinator of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Santa Casa de São Paulo and the Medical Supervisor of the Pediatric ICU at Sabará Children's Hospital. She is a member of AMIB, SOPATI, and SPSP. She is an instructor of PFCCS. Additionally, she coordinates the Medical Residency Program in Pediatric Intensive Care at Santa Casa de São Paulo and Sabará Children's Hospital. She is the President of COREME at Sabará Children's Hospital.
Dr. Orlei Ribeiro de Araujo
PhD in Sciences from the Federal University of São Paulo. Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Uberlândia (MG), with a medical residency in Pediatrics from USP-Ribeirão Preto, and specialization and Master's in Pediatric Infectology from the Federal University of São Paulo. Post-graduate lato sensu in Applied Statistics. Holds titles of Specialist in Pediatrics from the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics and in Pediatric Intensive Care from AMIB. Former coordinator of the neonatal and pediatric ICUs at Santa Marina Hospital, São Paulo. He has served as an investigator and co-investigator in several phase 2 and 3 clinical research projects with vaccines such as Biken varicella, hepatitis A, quadruple vaccine, and nasal influenza virus vaccine. Currently, he is the coordinator of the Pediatric Unit at Cruz Azul Hospital and an attending physician in the Oncology ICU at GRAACC/Pediatric Oncology Institute/UNIFESP.
